Breaking Through
I Why wax?
Because
there is solidity.
Why is the
blue obliterated by brightness?
Because of
those who
see w/ the
hidden indigo of their
mind’s eye.
Who made
the cracks
in the
ground below
the
sunsetting sky?
The
diffusion of light.
The weight
of light falling through space.
What is the sound I am hearing?
The trill of a piano next door.
II
Where is the world behind the world?
It’s only the lingering memory
of
the tsunami.
Who can see god in this picture?
Those w/ the experience of skin.
What is an
emotion?
A small patch
of blue in peril.
III Why a cold wave slap in the face?
Because
shape demands it.
What can
one say about art?
That it represents the unsayable.
When did the animals return?
When the lingering image of her brushwork
was
inspired by her deepest
inner rhythm.
